Native Instruments’ Traktor range already includes a selection of controllers that pair up with their popular DJ software to provide performers with hands-on control over their mixes. The latest arrival, the Traktor MX2, introduces a new 2-channel controller that packs in some powerful new features along with a high-quality 24-bit/96kHz USB audio interface.

The newest addition to the Traktor range caters to newcomers and seasoned performers alike, and offers full integration with Traktor 4 Pro — a full license for the software is included with each purchase. The layout will be a familiar sight to those that have used the company’s Traktor Kontrol range, with a pair of touch-sensitive jogwheels placed either side of a central mixer section and joined by two sets of RGB-backlit pads. The lighting isn’t just for show, and plays a key part in the functionality of the Traktor MX2: customisable colour-coding helps users to keep track of pad modes and assignments, and the lighting in the bottom shell is used to provide visual feedback on a track’s end time or looping status.
