Room-correction experts Trinnov have announced that they will be showcasing two Dolby Atmos-capable room-correction systems at the NAMM Show 2026. The first is the Nova, which will soon gain support for the popular immersive format, offering a convenient way for those with stereo systems to expand their setup, while the second, the AltitudeCI, will cater to larger, more complex requirements.
Nova
Originally offered as a stereo and multi-channel processor, the Nova will soon receive a firmware update that will kit it out with Atmos support. The company say that the unit will remain primarily focused on stereo systems, but will gain the ability to process up to 12 output channels via its Dante connectivity — multi-channel signals will be processed within “standard production sampling rates”. The unit will be aimed at those working mainly in stereo, but with the occasional need to deliver Atmos mixes.
AltitudeCI
The AltitudeCI then offers a scaled-up experience designed for larger Dante-equipped studios. Originally introduced as part of the company’s high-end home cinema range, the unit employs the same technology as the Nova, but with support for higher sample rates, increased processing headroom and scalable channel configurations. As with its smaller sibling, the AltitudeCI sits ‘downstream’ of the DAW or renderer, and helpfully offers built-in tools for checking mixes with consumer Dolby Atmos decoding, eliminating the need for a separate AV receiver or consumer processor for carrying out quality control work.
“Trinnov’s roots are in 3D audio research, and our first clients were professionals working in surround sound, broadcast and post-production. What has remained constant is our focus on optimising the loudspeaker-room system, so engineers can trust what they hear. Our platforms have evolved, and with the Nova and AltitudeCI, we’re bringing a new generation of tools back to studios, supporting today’s Dolby Atmos workflows, from immersive mixing to reliable reference listening and quality control.” - Arnaud Laborie, Co-founder & CEO, Trinnov
Availability
Nova Dolby Atmos support will be available as a paid software upgrade by the end of Q1 / beginning of Q2 2026. The update will be compatible with all Nova units currently in the field, as well as future Nova systems, with no hardware upgrade required. AltitudeCI will be available through authorised professional dealers starting February 2026, subject to availability.
