The latest arrival in Nord’s Electro series comes equipped with an all-new Synth section, dedicated per-section effects and a refreshed top-panel design. Combining the company’s latest piano technology with the Organ and Rotary Speaker features from the Nord Organ 3, the Electro 7 promises to deliver exceptional versatility in a lightweight footprint.

The latest version has been treated to a visual overhaul, with a sleek new panel design housing a high-resolution colour display that offers quick access to sound selection features, performance controls and instrument settings. There are three versions available: the Electro 7 61, Electro 7 73, 61- and 73-note versions with semi-weighted keybeds, and the Electro 7 HP, which comes equipped with a 73-note Kawai hammer-action keybed. All three models are equipped with physical drawbars.

An Organ section employs the engine from the Nord Organ 3, offering meticulous recreations of classic tonewheel, transistor and pipe organs, as well as the latest generation of the company’s Rotary Speaker emulation processor. a Piano Section then delivers an array of grands, uprights and electric pianos from the Nord Piano Library, and boasts some newly added features including Dynamic Compression, Unison and Timbre. 

A new Synth section provides Analog Waveforms and FM synthesis along with high-quality samples from the Nord Sample Library. Mono, Legato and Glide playing modes are present, while a low-pass filter with resonance and dual ADR envelopes for amp and filter/FM Amount offer a wealth of onboard sound-shaping options. Finally, the instrument boasts an expanded per-layer Effects section that includes all-new reverb, delay, amp-simulation and modulation processors.
