Sample Logic have teamed up with Red Room Audio to deliver a highly animated orchestral instrument.

Rating: ***** 5/5 Stars. The sounds in TXIII don’t veer too far from the previous versions. As well as raw WAV files (for direct dropping into your DAW), these are organised in 28 helpfully named Kontakt nki instruments.

Xosphere 2 is based around four sound processors, complemented by an X/Y pad that allows the user to fluidly modulate between them in real time.

Expeditions uses the powerful (and very deep) Kontakt-based front-end that provides loop playback, manipulation, a range of creative effects with sequencing options, and is designed to inspire hi-tech music tracks/cues.

Sample Logic’s latest release, while appealing to media composers, is perhaps more firmly situated on the sound design side of that line.
