Aston Spirit Collector's EditionAston Microphones have announced the release of the Spirit 5th Anniversary Collector’s Edition, a limited run of their flagship large-diaphragm condenser microphone. Built to celebrate five years since the release of the Spirit, this Collector’s Edition version sees the entire body engraved with a design that Aston say references the British heritage of the brand.
The follow-up to their first microphone, the Origin, the Spirit is a multi-pattern microphone centred around a one-inch dual-diaphragm capsule offering cardioid, omni, and figure-of-eight patterns. With a simple design aimed at keeping the cost down whilst delivering professional results, the Spirit has proved to be a popular model, finding its way into the collections of many of the world’s top engineers and recording studios.
