Bastl Instruments have announced the release of the Kastle 2 FX Wizard, the latest addition to its celebrated Kastle family of affordable mini-modular synthesizers. Compact, patchable, and packed with innovative features, this stereo multi-effects processor is designed to process, add texture and transform sounds in exciting and unexpected ways.
Following in the footsteps of Bastl’s previous Kastle (reviewed in SOS July 2017), the Kastle 2 FX Wizard retains the playful and experimental ethos while offering significant upgrades, including stereo audio processing and enhanced connectivity.
With nine distinct effects modes grouped into Delay, Amplitude and Pitch families, the Kastle 2 FX Wizard allows musicians to craft new sounds with a focus on modulation and dynamics. Whether exploring rhythmic slicing, lush stereo delays or gritty pitch artefacts, users can embrace happy accidents and unlock a powerful world of glitch and sound design possibilities. Its built-in LFO, pattern generator, and patchable envelope follower provide more opportunities for creative exploration, while stereo inputs and outputs ensure seamless integration with other gear.
Designed for portability, the Kastle 2 FX Wizard can run on three AA batteries for up to 18 hours or be powered via USB-C. The box comes complete with 10 patch cables to let you get started straight away.
