Become a rock star for a day
An eBay auction to benefit the T.J.Martell Foundation, which provides funding for research into Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS, is currently running. The winner of the auction will spend the day recording a demo with top producer Elliot Mazer in Tainted Blue Studios, New York. (We interviewed Elliot in SOS February 2003, and on-line here.)
Included in the package are domestic flights to and from New York (if an overseas bidder wins the prize, a contribution to the air fare may be included), the studio time at Tainted Blue, and Elliot's skills behind the mixing desk at the Magic Shop Recording Studio, where he will personally mix your demo.
After it has been completed, the winner's song will be sent to hundreds of radio stations across the USA as well as to top A&R executives at various record labels. The recording produced by Elliot Mazer will be reviewed by E1 Music (formerly KOCH Records') President Bob Frank, and the the winner will be provided with a written evaluation.
