Italian Eurorack manufacturer Clatters Machines have announced the release of Sonora, a 6HP stereo output module designed to act as a final mixing stage for modular synthesizer systems.
Sonora features 12 fixed-panning inputs across the stereo field, including hard-left, hard-right, mid-left, mid-right, low-left, low-right and mono. These allow users to spatially organise complex modular mixes with minimal effort. The layout is designed to streamline stereo balancing whilst maximising case space.
Co-founder and designer Michelangelo Nasso: A compact, final sound stage module was an obvious — and needed — choice for us. As musicians, we’ve always struggled with headphone/output/mixing modules. Most modules in this field take up way too much space inside a case — space that we’d prefer to fill with other effects, sound sources, and utilities. And although some other output modules are super-small, which is nice, they usually lack features, so we tried to solve this problem with what we think is the perfect combination of what’s already out there.
In addition to its mixing capabilities, Sonora includes:
- Stereo 3.5mm headphone output with volume control
- Stereo LED level meters with 0dB reference
- Stereo 3.5mm line-level outputs
- Built-in soft clipping limiter for signal protection or added colouration
The module is available in two colours, with options for either a black or silver anodised aluminium front panel.
