Audio repair suite receives major update

iZotope have unveiled RX 11, the latest iteration of their audio repair suite, which now features innovative machine learning capabilities and tools tailored for music streaming. RX 11 marks a significant upgrade and is aimed at catering to the needs of audio post-production, music, and content creation.

The RX series combines visual-based spectral editing with purpose-built tools to address a wide range of audio issues, from unwanted reverb and clicks to clipping and background noise. With its Spectrogram feature and Repair Assistant, users can precisely target and fix audio problems quickly and efficiently.

The next generation of Repair Assistant is available in all three versions of RX 11, featuring upgraded machine learning and controls for higher quality, speed and flexibility.In RX 11, iZotope provide three product tiers — Elements, Standard, and Advanced — each offering a curated set of features to enhance audio quality. The revamped Dialogue Isolate module now includes Dialogue De-Reverb, providing real-time control over noise and unwanted reverb. The Loudness Optimize module allows control over the LUFS algorithm to maximise perceived loudness for streaming platforms, and users can preview how different streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music will adjust their music with the new Streaming Preview.

More additions come in the form of the Music Rebalance tool for creating instrumentals and vocal stems from a full mix, an upgraded Repair Assistant with improved machine learning, and a Mid/Side mode for manipulating audio components separately. RX 11 Advanced users will also benefit from the Dialogue Contour feature, which offers greater control over voice character and expressivity.

Spectral Editor ARA integration allows for seamless editing within digital audio workstations, while an Audio Devices Refresh option streamlines device management. Furthermore, RX 11 Advanced and Post Production Suite 8 now offer multi-seat enterprise licensing options.
