Korg's Wavestate & Opsix go Native

Wave-sequencing and FM soft synths unveiled

Korg Wavestate Native

Korg Opsix NativeKorg's recent Wavestate and Opsix digital synths have just been released as VST3/AU/AAX software instruments. Like their hardware counterparts, Wavestate Native and Opsix Native are, respectively, wave-sequencing and FM-based instruments, and their features are apparently so closely aligned with the originals that their presets are completely interchangeable. The software user interfaces, on the other hand, might even make some of the synths' deeper functions more accessible and intuitive in use — Korg suggest using the software versions in the studio, and then uploading your presets to the hardware for live use.

Naturally, the hardware versions can be used to control their software counterparts too, and to that end Korg are offering the Native versions at a discounted price of $49.99 to anyone who owns one of the originals. Wavestate Native and Opsix Native both carry a normal price of $199, but are available now for the introductory price of $149.
