Sample experts Tonehammer will soon be releasing a piano library — their first such product. Emotional Piano, which contains up to 20 velocity layers per key, is described by Tonehammer as having “warmth, deep resonance, softness and wideness”, and so would appear to be ideal for either solo piano pieces, or exposed piano parts in sparse arrangements.

You can hear some audio examples of the library on Tonehammer’s web site, and the piano does indeed sound highly expressive, and would likely suit film and TV composers who occasionally need to aim for the heart strings with their scores! Available imminently, Emotional Piano carries an MSRP of $149, but will briefly be available for an introductory price of $129.
