PreSonus have expanded their Eris range of active monitors with a new model, the E7 XT. Sporting a 6.5-inch Kevlar woofer, the E7 XT is said to reach lows of an impressive 42Hz, while at the other end of the spectrum, its 1.25-inch silk-dome tweeter is paired with a new Elliptical Boundary Modelled (EBM) waveguide, endowing it with a 100-degree horizontal dispersion for a broad listening sweet spot.
The E7 XT also benefits from the same rear-panel control module as its stablemates. This allows you to tailor the speaker's response to your environment, via adjustable low-, mid- and high-frequency filters. In addition, a three-way switch lets you optimise the speaker for half-space, quarter-space and free-standing positions.
