PSPaudioware have just announced the launch of two new reverb plug-ins, one of which is being offered as a free download. PSP Chamber features a single algorithm that’s been designed to emulate the acoustics of a variety of physical spaces, while PSP EasyVerb comes loaded with nine additional algorithms that cater to a wider range of creative needs.
Both plug-in’s share the same design, with the GUI split into three main sections. The first features a central display that shows the currently loaded algorithm and its assorted parameters (size, tonal variations and so on) along with Pre-delay, Decay and Damp controls. Next up is a three band EQ that features high- and low-shelf bands (which can also function as low- and high-pass filters) and a midrange peak filter, with all three bands benefiting from a variable frequency range. The final section is dedicated to the plug-in’s final output, and includes Width, Mix and Out (level) controls.
EasyVerb, which PSP say can be though of as Chamber’s big brother, brings an additional nine algorithms to the table: Ambience, Room, Club, Hall, Arena, Cathedral, Spring, Plate and Reverse. Each of the included algorithms are provided in Legacy, Alt1 and Alt2 versions, the first of which feature the original sounds from the first version of EasyVerb. Alt1 and Alt2 offer new variations that expand the plug-in’s tonal range, and all three variants benefit from Small, Medium and Large size settings.
Compatibility
PSP Chamber and PSP EasyVerb are supported on PCs running Windows 10 or higher, and Macs running macOS 10.14 and above. VST, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
