PSPaudioware launch PSP Wobbler

Created in collaboration with Alan Parsons

PSPaudioware PSP Wobbler Alan Parsons Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon modulation effects plug-in

The latest addition to PSPaudioware’s plug-in collection is a modulation effect that has been inspired by, and developed in collaboration with legendary engineer, producer and musician Alan Parsons. PSP Wobbler faithfully recreates the Frequency Translator, a handmade experimental device built by Keith Adkins which created the unique modulation effect heard on ‘Time’ from Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’.

The plug-in uses frequency-shifting to create non-harmonic phase differences that result in a unique ‘wobble’ that offers elements of phasing and flanging effects, as well as extending into rotary speaker sounds. It’s said to go way beyond the capabilities of the hardware that inspired it, and features variable Drive, Age, Drift and Spread controls along with the ability to sync the effect to the host DAW’s tempo. It also comes equipped with a pair of EQ filters that allow users to focus the processing on a particular frequency range.

Compatibility

PSP Wobbler is supported on PCs running Windows 7 and above, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and higher. VST, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.

Pricing & Availability

PSP Wobbler is available now, and is being offered at an introductory price of $49.99 until 14 February 2025, when it will increase to $99.
