Sampleson reveal Collab3 V2

Free drawbar organ instrument updated

Sampleson Collab3 V2 free modelled tonewheel organ virtual instrument

Sampleson have announced that a new and updated version of their popular tonewheel organ instrument is now available. Featuring a new spectral-modelled sound engine, Collab3 V2 introduces a range of new features and is available in Free and Pro versions.

Alongside the new engine, the instrument now features enhanced key-click noises and leakage, as well as offering improved CPU performance. A major update is the inclusion of built-in rotary speaker emulation, which offers a modelled amplifier circuit and wooden cabinet impulse responses that the company say accurately capture the nuances and rich tonal characteristics of the iconic rotary cabinet sound.

Sampleson haven’t cut any corners in terms of the core sound with the free version: it still utilises the same engine, and the only difference lies in the amount of control thats provided. Opting for the Pro version provides users with more in-depth parameters that include detailed control over the horn speed, a set of four microphone positions, and Amount dials for both the Amp and Drum Mix controls.

Compatibility

Collab3 V2 is supported on Windows and macOS operating systems.
