Timed to coincide with our landmark 30th anniversary issue and staged exclusively in association with Focusrite, Sound On Sound Presents will be an event not to be missed. It all takes place on the 22nd of October at the luxurious Screening Room of Charlotte Street Hotel in Central London. The event — subtitled Mix Masters In Conversation — will bring together three of the most acclaimed producers and mix engineers currently working in the UK for an evening of opinion and insight in an intimate setting.
Winner of the MPG’s Mix Engineer of the Year award in both 2009 and 2010, Cenzo Townshend has worked with some of the biggest acts of the last decade, mixing tracks for U2, The Vaccines, Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand and Florence + The Machine. Jim Abbiss has enjoyed a long and varied career as a producer, engineer, mixer and remixer, working with everybody from DJ Shadow to the Arctic Monkeys. He’s perhaps best known for his role as producer on multiple albums by Kasabian and Adele. Producer, mixer and multi‑instrumentalist Cam Blackwood has made big waves with his recent production work on albums by George Ezra and London Grammar, catapulting these emerging acts (and himself) into the big leagues.
