Sound designers The Very Loud Indeed Co. have released Serum Prime, a new collection of 120 cinematic patches for Xfer Records’ Serum 2 synthesizer. The set is built entirely from exclusive new samples created for this release, rather than re-using Serum’s stock content.
The patches are designed for scoring dark tension, action and horror, with touches of sci-fi, and make use of Serum 2’s new features to deliver organic, characterful sounds with natural imperfections. Extensive modulation wheel assignments allow patches to shift dramatically during performance.

Serum Prime requires a licensed copy of Serum 2 and 376 MB of disk space.
It is available now at an introductory price of $21, reduced from $35, until 18 September 2025 via Very Loud Indeed Co.
