Yamaha produce rack version of the Motif ES

Motif Rack ES set for Spring launch
The latest addition to the Yamaha Motif synthesizer range is the Motif Rack ES, a powerful, expandable sound generator in 1U rackmount format.
It offers 16 simultaneous parts and 128-note polyphony working off a 175MB wave ROM, with 768 preset and 384 user sounds, plus a full GM sound set. In addition to assignable arpeggiators, the Motif Rack ES has an effects section featuring 20 reverb types and 49 chorus/delay programs.
Insert effects can be applied to up to eight parts simultaneously, and there’s a dedicated three-band EQ for each of the 16 parts. There are also eight mastering effects, including a multi-band compressor and a five-band master EQ. There’s space for two PLG expansion boards allowing users to add new sounds while providing extra polyphony and effects.
The Motif Rack ES has main stereo outputs, four additional assignable outputs, a headphone out, optical and co-axial S/PDIF outputs, MIDI In, Out and Thru ports and a USB MIDI interface.
It’ll be available from Spring 2005.
