In celebration of National Guitar Day (11 February 2026), Overloud have released the ninth instalment in their THU Made In Rock series: RodS Mk IIb. The latest virtual amp delivers a meticulously modelled Mesa/Boogie Mark IIb and a matching 4x12 cabinet, both of which have been captured in extraordinary detail using Overloud’s exclusive Fluid Capturing technology. The launch also marks the start of a sale across the entire Made In Rock line-up, with reduced pricing available until 28 February 2026.
THU Made In Rock — RodS Mk IIb
While Mesa/Boogie’s Mark IIc+ has become a staple in the amp-sim world, the Mark IIb has remained largely absent from software until now. The specific unit captured by Overloud has some history behind it, having been used extensively on major Rod Stewart tours and recordings. RodS Mk IIb promises to deliver the rich, harmonically complex cleans and powerful lead tones that made the amp a favourite among session players and touring guitarists, and comes complete with set of presets tailored for both humbucker and single-coil guitars.
As with all Made In Rock titles, RodS Mk IIb within THU or as a standalone plug-in, and includes Overloud’s Rig Player, Looper, Tuner and full FX suite.

Compatibility
THU Made In Rock — RodS Mk IIb runs as a THU expansion or a standalone plug-in. It is supported on PCs running Windows 10 and above, and Macs running macOS 10.14 and higher. VST, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
Pricing & Availability
THU Made In Rock — RodS Mk IIb is available now, and is being offered at an introductory price of $39 until 28 February 2026, when it will increase to its full price of $59.
The same discount is currently being applied to all Made In Rock titles, with additional savings also available on bundles of three or five products. Further discounts are available to THU Premium owners.
