DelaySon: Free delay plug-in from Sonimus

Company's first time-based effect

Sonimus DelaySon

Sonimus have launched DelaySon, a creative tape-delay plugin that marks the company’s first step into the world of time-based effects. Inspired by classic studio echo units, DelaySon is said to deliver warm, analogue-style repeats with built-in modulation, tone shaping, and tape-style saturation – and it’s available completely free of charge.

The interface is split into three sections – Color, Time, and Delay – making it simple to dial in anything from subtle slap-backs to lush, evolving echoes. The Color section provides modulation (for wow-and-flutter pitch movement), tone control, and a low-cut filter to sculpt repeats. The Time controls include millisecond or tempo-sync delay options, plus a Wet/Mix knob for insert or aux use. The Delay section offers feedback up to 200%, stereo widening via L/R offset, and a Drive switch for adding tape-style saturation.

DelaySon also supports user presets, with the ability to save, recall, and share settings, and comes preloaded with a starter library to get users up and running.

Pricing & Availability

DelaySon is available now as a free download directly from Sonimus, in VST3, AU, and AAX formats for Windows and macOS.
