ADDAC System have an assortment of Eurorack modules that offer a way to integrate expression pedals with modular rigs, but their latest releases apply their innovative design approach to a standalone device. The Expression Control offers connectivity for up to eight expression pedals, and has been designed to be teamed up with the Servo Controller, a motor-based device that can be attached to a control knob on an amplifier, guitar pedal, rackmount processor or just about any other piece of equipment!
The Servo Controller can be attached to just about any physical control, allowing it to be operated remotely via an expression pedal.
Each of the Expression Control’s eight TRS pedal inputs is joined by a dedicated servo output that drives the accompanying Servo Control motor. Each motor is controlled by a microcontroller that receives either MIDI or a signal from the expression pedal inputs, both of which are subsequently converted to control the unit’s 270-degree motor range. MIDI CC messages are also transmitted via USB-C MIDI, Bluetooth MIDI or 3.5mm mini-jack. Every expression input is joined by Minimum and Maximum controls that allow users to fine-tune their operating ranges.
