Expressive E showcase Subsequent 37 integration for Moogfest

Limited edition custom Touché also debuted in new demo video

Expressive E, the French company behind the unusual Touché, today unveil a limited edition custom wooden skin and new hardware presets for the Moog Subsequent 37 synth to celebrate the first day of Moogfest. Moogfest kicks off today in Durham (North Carolina, USA) and runs until 20 May 2018.

To promote their presence at the festival and to showcase the collaborative possibilities of Touché and Moog products, Expressive E have shared a new video demonstrating sounds created using Touché connected to products from the Moog Music range.

Thanks to built-in USB, CV and MIDI connections, Touché can be tightly integrated to both hardware and software synths, as shown in the video with a Subsequent 37, the Model D iOS app, and a DFAM. Read our review of the Touché from the November 2017 issue.

The video also lets us see a custom wooden skin for Touché, labelled with a golden Moogfest 2018 logo on it. This custom skin will be available as an add-on for each purchase of a Touché at Moogfest — units will be on sale at the “Modular Marketplace” inside the festival.

Also announced by Expressive E at the festival is the addition of new hardware presets for Touché and the Subsequent 37.  Included with the latest version of Touché’s companion software, Lié, the presets feature custom MIDI CC mappings and program changes, and can be saved in one of Touché’s 24 slots of memory.

Designed to make Touché work seamlessly with any Subsequent 37, these hardware presets are custom mappings for the factory presets of Moog’s iconic synth, and no other configuration is required other than loading them up while Touché is connected via its MIDI output to the Subsequent 37.
