Compact DAW Controller
The MC Transport is the latest addition to the Euphonix Artist series, which also includes the MC Mix and MC Control. It’s about half the width of the other two models in the range, but can slot together to form a long, semi-modular controller, just like the others.

Pride of place in the centre of the device is a weighted jog wheel with a spring-loaded shuttle ring around its periphery. Above this is an arc of buttons for transport control and project navigation, and a further six assignable soft keys that reside below an OLED timecode read-out. A numeric keypad provides a further bank of buttons, and a Function key can be used to send multiple commands from the same button.
Like the MC Mix and MC Control, the MC Transport uses Euphonix’s proprietary EuCon protocol to communicate with the attached DAW (or DAWs). Described by the company as “MIDI on steroids”, EuCon lets the user assign buttons, pads and wheels freely using an intuitive GUI, then command Macros, and switch between different setups and software applications at the touch of a button.
The MC Transport is Mac-only, and is expected to cost $399 in the USA and £369 in the UK, when it becomes available in the Summer.
