The latest expansion for IK Multimedia’s TONEX platform captures seven amps and six pedals from the collection of renowned metal guitarist Gus G.
Gus G. Tone Asylum Signature Collection delivers exact recreations of the artist’s favourite amps and settings, and includes setups used in his own band, Firewall, along with studio and touring rigs that played a part in his work with none other than Ozzy Osbourne. A total of 27 Tone Models are present, all of which have been meticulously fine-tuned by Gus to ensure that they reflect the tones featured in his live performances and studio albums.
The collection features captures of the guitarist’s Blackstar’s HT5 Metal and St. James 6L6 amps, as well as the powerful gain of his Series 200 Blackfire signature amp. Other classic metal amps featured include ENGL’s Powerball and 5150 III, a MESA Engineering Triple Rectifier and Marshall’s JCM 2000 TSL60 and JCM 800 models. As for effects, the expansion includes six pedals that are based on a J. Rockett Archer, Speed Demon by Gus G, BBE Green Screamer Signature, BOSS SD-1, Blackstar Dept. 10 and a custom-built pedal by Crazy Tube Circuits.
