Massenburg DesignWorks have announced the availability of an update to their MDWDRC2‑Native Dynamic Range Controller plug-in, which has been released alongside a set of tutorial videos and presets created by Grammy award-winning recording engineer and inventor George Massenburg.
The company have been monitoring user feedback via their website, forums, and direct customer contact since the plug-in’s initial launch in November 2022 [reviewed in SOS January 2023 issue]. Several improvements and fixes have now been implemented based on the information gathered, and users are being encouraged to continue to communicate their experiences and suggestions for future development of MDWDRC2‑Native.
A series of five tutorial videos are now available on Massenburg DesignWorks’ website, YouTube, and social media channels, detailing how the plug-in can be best used to control and enhance the dynamics of vocals, piano, and drums, ensuring that they are able to sit perfectly within a mix. A collection of presets created by George Massenburg are now available to download from the product page on the company’s website, and a new User Guide document which details the processor’s features, along with the theory behind it, has also been released.
