UK distributor scoop up ESI
Devon-based Time + Space Distribution hold the title of one of the UK’s leading music technology brands. Flick through your old issues of SOS and you’ll find their advertisements as far back as 1991, extolling the virtues of the latest in sample collections and software instrument technology. But to date they’ve not handled the distribution of any hardware lines.
So the news that Time + Space have been appointed UK and Ireland distributor for German audio hardware and software manufacturers ESI comes as quite a surprise. ESI have, like Time + Space, been in the audio industry for some time now, and have had great success with their audio and MIDI interfaces, including the WAMI Rack (reviewed in SOS October 2002 and on-line here), the Waveterminal 192 (SOS March 2003 and on-line here) and the Julia, reviewed in SOS July 2005 (and available on-line here).
More recently, they’ve diversified and now manufacture speakers (check out our review of their Near 05 active monitors in SOS May 2006), MIDI interfaces and software, all aimed at the professional and semi-professional studio user. ESI’s range of equipment is already available for purchase from Time + Space’s web site.
