Two notes Audio Engineering have announced their first Artist Series release of 2023, the Ministry DynIR Hot Rod Cabinet Collection, a collection of guitar cabinet impulse responses developed in a collaboration with Cesar Soto, Monte Pittman, and Paul D’Amour of industrial metal band Ministry.
Five cabinets are included in the DynIR collection, each of which have been picked for their unique tones that have helped to deliver the band’s signature sound in studios and on stages around the world:
- Cesar’s Wizard 4x12 fitted with Celestion Creamback 65s
- A Greenback-equipped Marshall 4x12
- Monte’s Emperor 4x12 which is loaded with Weber Speakers Silver Bells
- Orange 4x12 cabinet kitted out with Celestion Vintage 30s
- A stock Ampeg 8x10 finalises the collection
All of the responses have been captured in the live room of Stagg Street Studio in LA by Two notes’ resident expert David Gnozzi, using a collection of sought-after microphones and preamps. The resulting collection promises to deliver a hugely versatile collection of tones that will deliver the high-quality results that the company’s Artist Series has become renowned for.
Compatibility
The impulse responses in the collection can be used within Two notes’ proprietary Wall of Sound software, and natively within Torpedo-embedded hardware (Captor X, CAB M+, and a range of third-party products from the likes of REVV, Victory Amplification, and more).
