The Crow Hill Company have announced a Season Two rebrand of their Vaults collection. Launched in 2024, the series comprises a selection of free sample libraries and virtual instruments that have been designed to provide music makers with inspiring, accessible tools.
The original idea behind the range was to give away one product every month, with each release being made available for six months before being retired to an archive, adhering to a ‘newest in, oldest out’ rotation. The limit only applies to their availability on the website — those who download the instruments are able to use them indefinitely. The company have since altered the process, with select instruments being periodically returned and made available in exchange for a small donation to charity.
With the launch of Season Two, the six current instruments available for free are: Acid Synth, Amp Bass, Mallet Piano, Orchestral FX, Solo Bodhran and Wavering Choir. The From The Vault selection, which are available following a donation of £3, which goes directly to Love Music, a music inclusion and education charity dedicated to increasing its participants’ wellbeing, confidence and musical skills through an exciting range of open-access projects.
