The latest arrival to iZotope’s Catalyst Series brings together a versatile collection of creative effects, but offers a different approach to your typical multi-effects plug-in. FXEQ includes five independent processing modules, and features an EQ-style interface that allows users to target specific frequency ranges with each effect.
Designed to add weight, life and character to just about any sound source, the latest addition to the company’s range includes five processing modules: Saturate, Reverb, Delay, Modulate and Lo-Fi. All are equipped with a selection of modes and their own dedicated parameters, but the way in which the effects are applied is what sets the new plug-in apart from the competition. Users are able to apply each module’s processing to specific frequency ranges by drawing a curve in a large EQ-style display, while colour-coding helps to provide a visual indication of which ranges are being affected by which modules.
Key features
- EQ-style Interface: Six-band EQs for each effect with a choice of four filter shapes.
