API 312 joins Karno’s SEPIA platform

Praised mic pre design joins modular system line-up

API 312 SEPIA Karno modular platform mic preamp

It’s been around two years since Karno unveiled SEPIA, and in that time a number of third-party manufacturers have released versions of their processors that can be integrated with the innovative modular system. The latest such company are API, who have just announced the launch of a preamp module that houses their popular 312 mic pre.

Created in a collaboration between API and Karno, the API 312 SEPIA has been designed exclusively for the L6 rackmount system. It promises to deliver the “unmistakable analogue character” that has made the original 312 popular, while introducing digital control that allows it to be integrated into hybrid mixing rigs in live sound, theatre, broadcast and more.

"The API 312 is one of the most respected mic pres in recording history. Bringing it to SEPIA means creators can now work with that vintage tone and dynamic depth - with all the modern control and recallability our platform offers." - Adam Pierce, Founder, Karno
