Pro FX12 & Pro FX8 Compact Effects Mixers with USB
Mackie have launched the Pro FX series of compact desks, which will replace the DFX range. There are two mixers in the new range: the Pro FX 12 and the Pro FX 8, which are both equipped with the same preamps and EQ as the high-end Mackie VLZ mixers.
The Pro FX mixers also have a dedicated multi-effects section, featuring 16 different 32-bit effects including reverbs, delays and chorus effects.
Both also have a stereo USB audio interface built in, allowing connection to a computer. Mackie's Tracktion DAW software is included, allowing you to record the mixed output of the desk.
The Pro FX 8 sells for $229 and the Pro FX 12 costs $279. UK prices were unavailable at the time of writing. For further information, check out Mackie's web site.
