Propellerhead enlist Belgian producer
Producer, musician and songwriter Pascal Gabriel has worked with numerous chart-riding artists, from S Express and Kylie Minogue to Dido and, more recently, Ladyhawke. His latest venture sees him joining forces with software developer Propellerhead, with whom he’s released Melophobia Machine, a Refill for Reason. It comprises, according to developers, “a mass of highly useful, production-ready loops, samples and instruments for songwriters and producers”.
There are drum kits, guitar loops, effect patches, sample-based keyboards and basses, some of which have the distinct “outrageous” character that can be heard in Pascal’s material. He admits “it’s not for everyone, but if you want a bit of interesting colour and some character, this is the collection for you”. Pascal Gabriel’s Melophobia Machine is available now for Propellerhead’s Propshop, costing 49 Euros, which was about £42 at the time of writing.
