Back in April, Software developers Propellerheads announced that they would be running a series of masterclasses on the use of their Reason and Record software packages. These unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the volcanic ash cloud, but have happily been rescheduled, and will be taking place between 19th and 24th July.
Run by Propellerheads’s Artist Relations Manager and product demonstrator James Bernard, the classes will be covering such topics as time-stretching, best use of the mixer in Record, and how to convert Reason songs into Record projects for audio recording and mixing.
The events will be held at various music technology retailers in Dorset, London, Leeds, Newcastle and — in addition to the originally planned venues — Glasgow. The classes are being run for free, and attendees will receive a Soul School Reason Refill worth £69. People who register for the classes in advance will also receive a free Propellerhead t-shirt.
