New updates, expansion and a chance to win
Toontrack’s popular Superior Drummer 2 (SD2) drum VSTi has received an update, as well as a new expansion pack of samples. Version 2.2 includes a new MIDI groove player, allowing the user to blend different kit pieces and patterns to build up expressive perfeormances. Tighter control of velocity response has also been added, including specific pedal-correction curves for drummers using electronic kits, such as Roland V-Drums. In addition, Toontrack have introduced support for Sonic Reality’s iMap note mapping system, as well as implementing control of the master volume via MIDI CC7.
Custom and Vintage SDX is a new expansion for SD2, combining the Superior Custom and Vintage pack, and the Superior Vintage add-on from the original Superior Drummer series. The re-worked add-on boasts a broad selection of vintage and modern custom drum samples, as well as specially tailored loops and mixer presets.
