UJAM have partnered with the Bob Moog Foundation to develop a virtual instrument that faithfully recreates the sound of the Vox Humana mode on Moog’s iconic Polymoog synth. The company have also announced that all proceeds from the sales of the new Vox Humana plug-in will be donated in support of the Bob Moog Foundation’s educational and preservation initiatives.
The Vox Humana plug-in has been built using a set of sounds sampled from the Polymoog 280A. They were carefully captured by composer, producer and synth enthusiast Alex Ball before being loaded into UJAM’s proprietary Gorilla Engine, with the developer’s team designing a user interface that is said to offer an intuitive user experience while remaining faithful to the instrument’s original character. An Envelope section houses Attack and Decay sliders, and is joined by a section equipped with a choice of Original, Bright, Octaves and Hollow timbral modes. Chorus and Phaser sections with independent Speed and Depth parameters follow, alongside a Reverb with Decay and Level controls.
Key Features

All proceeds from sales of the plug-in will directly support the Bob Moog Foundation’s mission to inspire through science education, preservation and interactive learning. The Bob Moog Foundation Archives preserve over 50 years of synthesizer history, housing a vast collection of vintage instruments, schematics, prototypes and recordings. The Moogseum — an interactive museum in Asheville, NC, USA — continues to expand its exhibits and outreach efforts, including ongoing restoration following damage from Hurricane Helene.
"By purchasing this Vox Humana plug-in, music creators can get their hands on a piece of iconic synthesizer history while also supporting the important work of the Bob Moog Foundation.
