Polyverse release Filterverse 1.2

Five new filter modules added

Polyverse Filterverse multi-mode self-oscillating filter effects plug-in

Polyverse have just announced the release of a free major update that kits their Filterverse plug-in out with an array of new features and functions. Along with five completely new filter types, the latest iteration of the company’s popular creative effect benefits from a number of performance improvements and workflow enhancements.

What’s New?

The headline feature of the new update is the introduction of five new filter types. Here’s what Polyverse have to say about each of the latest additions:

The Valley

A high-slope, asymmetric band-reject filter designed to carve a deep hole in your frequency spectrum.

  • Secret weapon for Reese bass and neuro sound design.
  • Sculpt snarling low-end and rhythmic midrange motion.
  • Features built-in drive and pivoting rejection control.
  • Can be used for surgical precision or expressive movement depending on how it’s pushed.
  • Brutal when needed, subtle when dialled. a versatile tool for producers who love pushing low-end boundaries.

Deep Phase

A contrary phaser that produces narrow resonant band-pass peaks instead of notches, delivering a wildly psychedelic tone.

  • Perfect for vocal processing, trippy modulation and psytrance textures.
  • Excels at creating hypnotic movement and phase-driven atmospheres.
  • Audio-rate modulation transforms it into a phase-bending modulation playground.
  • Psychedelic, strange and completely captivating. a unique tool for forward-thinking sound designers.

Fibonacci Chorus

An ultra-dense, golden-ratio-based chorus with endlessly evolving motion and no audible repetition.

  • Ideal for detuned leads, shimmering pads, or sparkling guitars
  • Golden-ratio LFOs create a sense of natural movement without looping.
  • Adds depth, haze and richness to anything it touches.
  • No beat, no loop — just motion. a chorus that feels alive.

BarberPole

A reimagined frequency shifter that trades harshness for harmonic expression and musical illusions.

  • Create Shepard tones and impossible harmonic spirals.
  • FM style phase-modulation on live audio.
  • Works beautifully with pitch-tracking and MIDI.
  • Where other frequency shifters tear sound apart, BarberPole bends it into harmony.

Time Warp

A real-time granular processor built for tempo-synced glitching, stretching and rhythmic manipulation.

  • Stutter, reverse and reposition audio in a tempo-locked grid.
  • Perfect for breakbeat, IDM, glitch hop and live performance FX.
  • Emulates tape stops, slice edits and unpredictable rhythmic variation.
  • An essential tool for rhythm-centric creativity.

Other Improvements & Enhancements

Filterverse 1.2 also benefits from a number of performance and workflow-related upgrades, including:

  • Optimised CPU performance for smoother sessions.
  • Improved sequencer with new glide, phase and poly-rhythmic controls.
  • Alt+Drag I/O gain compensation.
  • Clip mode preset lock.
  • Extended Oscillator modulation range.
  • Legato/staccato behaviour refinements.
  • Integrated Help Button linking to the online manual.
  • UI polish, bug fixes and general enhancements.
  • Many more presets.

Compatibility

Filterverse 1.2 is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 10.13 and higher. VST2, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
