Synchro Arts’ Revoice Pro vocal-matching software has established an enviable reputation as the go‑to tool for vocal replacement and ADR. Its key strength is the way it cleverly assists with and automates tricky tasks like generating doubled vocal parts and adjusting the timing, pitch, intonation and loudness of one vocal take to perfectly match another.
With Revoice Pro 3, Synchro Arts have added a third processing mode to the existing Doubler and APT (Audio Performance Transfer) tools. A new range of Warp processes let you manually adjust timing and pitch, intuitively and easily, and with high‑quality results, claim its makers. Not only does this allow users to correct individual vocal parts that are out of tune or sloppy with their timing, but version 3’s pitch and time tools also add a powerful new dimension to the existing processing modes. This allows in‑depth adjustment of the APT process, which transfers the characteristics of one part onto another. Meanwhile, the Doubler lets you modify the pitch and timing of individual doubled parts or the whole stack simultaneously, while the amount of positive and negative delay available has been extended to ±200ms.
The new version also boasts an improved interface, an Audio Unit Monitor plug-in, and now works with even more DAWs than ever before. The software itself works as a standalone application that links into your software using AAX (PT11 and up), AudioSuite (PT10 and lower), VST3 and the aforementioned Audio Unit plug-in format.
Alongside these new features, Synchro Arts say that they’ve speeded up rendering times in the new version with faster, better-sounding algorithms. Revoice Pro 3 is available now, priced $599, with a range of upgrade paths from previous versions of Revoice Pro and VocAlign also on offer.
