Save on Ableton software, new instruments launched

Max for Cats release Ensemble & DiGiTAL, 30% off all Ableton software

Max for Cats is a new Ableton Pack partner and their two latest instruments for Max for Live are now available.

Max for Cats EnsembleThe first, Ensemble, is inspired by the classic string machines of the 1970s such as Solina, Roland RS101 and others, and has a unique built-in morphing formant filter. It also includes chorus and phaser effects effects which can also be used separately in standalone mode. The formant filter offers 10 types of vowel filter and morphing between each is possible by plotting on an XY grid.

Max for Cats DiGiTALMeanwhile, DiGiTAL is a polyphonic synth that fuses aspects of additive, wavetable, frequency modulation and subtractive synthesis. DiGiTAL is specially designed for creating new sounds and provides a comprehensive set of controls specifically for this purpose. These include a multi-mode filter and two LFOs with seven different waveforms and adjustable phase; four ADSR envelopes that permit the user to control amplification, filter, pitch and additional modulation. A modulation matrix is built into DiGiTAL's interface, a tunable sub-oscillator, further FM modulation and global saturation and distortion settings. Furthermore, the flexible polysynth sports a sequencer that's inspired by the Oberheim 2-voice synthesizer.

Also, until this Friday (13th June), Ableton are offering a generous 30% off all of their software. To find out more, go to their website.
