Synthesizing with Moog: New video series

Company launch beginner-friendly resource

Synthesizing with Moog video series

The latest announcement from Moog sees the company launch a free Carl Sagan/PBS-inspired video series titled Synthesizing with Moog. Designed to make learning synthesis approachable, the seven-part series is pitched at a level that makes it accessible to complete beginners, and aims to make the subject feel accessible rather than intimidating.

Hosted by Moog product specialist Chris Miller, the series begins with the basics of how sound works and how we hear, before introducing and explaining the technical side of synthesis. Although it’s been created by Moog, the content isn’t specific to the company’s own gear, and provides a more general overview of synthesis that can be applied to a wide range of instruments.

The first episode is live now — you can check it out below — and a new instalment will be released every Wednesday, alongside downloadable worksheets.
