Blue Cat Audio Remote Control 3.1

Latest version adds standalone option and improved control surface integration

Blue Cat Audio Remote Control 3.1 virtual multiple MIDI control surface plug-in

Blue Cat Audio have released a free update to their Remote Control virtual control surface software. This handy utility plug-in allows users to assign MIDI controllers to multiple destinations, providing control over a number of different instrument and effects parameters from a single user interface. Version 3.1 makes Remote Control available as a standalone application in addition to its VST, VST3, AAX and AU plug-in formats, and also improves integration with physical control surfaces.

A new option has been included in the global and preset input settings which allows MIDI events to be sent when MIDI-enabled parameters are modified in the plug-in, enabling control surfaces to be updated accordingly. Improvements have also been made to the software’s undo management and automation writing when using the mouse wheel to move knobs and sliders.

In addition to the new features, some known bug fixes have also been implemented, including VST3 versions of the plug-in not showing in Cubase, and not loading properly when used in Ableton Live 11.

For a demonstration of the plug-in’s capabilities, check out the demonstration video below:

The plug-in is available now, and is supported on Windows machines running Windows Vista or newer, or Apple computers running macOS 10.9 or newer. Current owners of Remote Control are able to update to the latest version for free, whilst new users are being offered the chance to purchase the plug-in for a reduced price of €39$39 (compared to the usual €49$49) until 21 August 2022.
