Fiedler update Dolby Atmos Composer to v1.6

Featuring the new OBAM plug-in standard

Fiedler Audio update Dolby Atmos Composer to v1.6

Fiedler Audio have announced the availability of version 1.6 of Dolby Atmos Composer which introduces the Object Based Audio Module (OBAM). OBAM is described as the first plug-in interface designed specifically for immersive mixing and mastering, allowing full 128-channel master bus processing for Dolby Atmos and more.

Fiedler claim this new update enables access via OBAM to the full object-level architecture of immersive audio formats starting with Dolby Atmos. Support for MPEG-H, Apple Spatial Audio and Google Eclipsa are all expected in future updates.

The update launches with support from Toneboosters, who have announced that their TB Equalizer Pro plug-in is now OBAM-compatible.

Version 1.6 of Dolby Atmos Composer also includes a matching update to gravitas MDS, Fiedler’s mastering and downmixing tool (read our review in SOS Dec 2024 here), bringing full OBAM compatibility to both pieces of software.
