Lauten Audio have announced updated versions of their Series Black range of microphones, with the LA-120, LA-220 FET, and LA-320 all gaining several customer-requested functional and aesthetic improvements. In terms of performance, the new models retain the critically-acclaimed sound, through-hole circuitry, and custom Lauten Audio capsule of the originals.
All three microphones in the Series Black family are now equipped with polished and engraved nickel head baskets, whilst the LA-320 exterior has been completely redesigned, signalling its relationship to the company’s flagship Eden LT-386 tube microphone. The smooth, silk-screened labelling found on the original LA-120, LA-220, and LA-320 has now been replaced with hand-filled lettering, and each model now includes a hallmark Lauten Audio inset badge.
In addition to the aesthetic changes, the LA-220 and LA-320 also now feature a redesigned, open-face shockmount system that Lauten Audio say improves isolation, flexibility, and long-term reliability.
