Universal Audio have today announced a new version of their UAD platform (7.7) that brings with it compatibility with their latest plug-in, the Neve 1073 Preamp & EQ Collection. The Neve 1073 is easily one of the most famous and revered preamp and EQ modules in recording history, and this new release, Universal Audio's engineers have aimed to improve upon their existing Neve 1073 and 1073SE plug-ins. UA-trademarked Unison technology has been incorporated into the Neve-endorsed 1073 Preamp & EQ Collection so, when used with an Apollo interface, you can control the mic preamp gain staging and impedance directly from the plug-in.
The all-new Neve 1073 Preamp & EQ plug-in features presets from famous Neve 1073 users, including Joe Chiccarelli (The Strokes, U2), Ed Cherney (Bonnie Raitt, The Rolling Stones), Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Norah Jones), Joel Hamilton (Pretty Lights, Sparklehorse), Dave Isaac (Prince, Marcus Miller), Ryan Hewitt (Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Avett Brothers), and more.
Available for purchase from UA's Online Store for $299 ($149 for owners of the legacy Neve 1073/1073SE Classic Console EQ Plug-Ins), the Neve 1073 Preamp & EQ Collection also includes the legacy Neve 1073 and 1073SE 'DSP light' plug-ins and is part of the new UAD Software v7.7.
The new Neve 1073 Preamp & EQ Collection requires a UAD DSP Accelerator Card or an Apollo interface.
