ARA support, Volt 876 integration, hardware inserts & more
The latest major update to Universal Audio’s DAW software is now live, and delivers an array of new user-requested features. LUNA 2.0 introduces ARA support, integration with UA’s recently released Volt 876 audio interface and upgraded Instrument Detection, while its Pro variant has been treated to a new hardware insert system and 15 additional UAD plug-ins.

LUNA 2.0 (Free)
- ARA Support: LUNA 2.0 introduces ARA support, enabling seamless integration of third‑party vocal editing tools directly within the LUNA timeline. This addition brings LUNA in line with professional workflows used in studios worldwide.
- Volt 876 Integration: With dedicated support for UA’s new Volt 876 USB audio interface, users can now control preamp gain, cue mixes and Assistive Auto‑Gain settings directly from within LUNA. This integration provides full session recall of front‑panel settings and a unified hardware/software workflow.
- Upgraded Instrument Detection: In addition to automatic colour-coding and setting the warp algorithm, Instrument Detection now adds icons to tracks based on instrument type, streamlining session organisation and eliminating manual setup.

LUNA Pro 2.0
- Hardware Inserts: Hardware Inserts allow users to route audio through analogue outboard gear with automatic delay compensation. With a single click, producers can integrate their favourite compressors, EQs and effects units into the LUNA mixer, and then save it as a preset to recall anytime.
- Expanded UAD Plug‑In & Instrument Library: LUNA Pro 2.0 includes 29 UAD plug‑ins, virtual instruments, plus LUNA Extensions, giving users access to a curated selection of iconic analogue emulations and creative tools for professional mixing and music production.
- Included ARA Tools: Celemony Melodyne Essential and Noiseworks DynAssist Lite are now included with LUNA Pro, enabling advanced vocal editing workflows.
- ChordAXE Lite: ChordAXE Lite, an intuitive MIDI effect that assists with chord selection and harmonic progression. Designed to streamline songwriting and composition, this tool helps musicians quickly build arrangements and explore musical ideas.
Compatibility
LUNA 2.0 is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 11 and higher.
Pricing & Availability
LUNA 2.0 & LUNA Pro 2.0 are both available now. LUNA 2.0 is free to download, while LUNA Pro 2.0 is currently (23 October 2025) being offered at an introductory price of $129, reduced from its full cost of $199.
