The latest addition to Universal Audio’s UAD plug-in range brings another sought-after amplifier recreation to the collection, capturing the sound of Fender’s iconic Showman.
UAD Showtime ’64 Tube Amp promises to deliver an authentic playing experience, with UA meticulously modelling the entire circuit of an original example and ensuring the emulation offers everything from its clean tones to its natural-sounding breakup and ‘crunchy’ higher-gain tones. The valve-based vibrato effect has been modelled, too, and the company have also taken the chance to pair the amp with a selection of classic speaker cabinets. a selection of mic and cabinet presets offer a variety of mix-ready tones, and users are of course free to dig into the settings and create their own blend of amp/cabinet and room sound.
